Raharney Hurling Club looking forward to 2021
As you’ve seen over recent days and weeks, we have launched into the next phase of our Club Development Plan as part of this, we are delighted to have now successfully completed the installation of an 18,000 litre waste-water treatment system and percolation area.
Timeline taking 4 days to complete
With an average of 10-15 volunteers throughout the 4 days,
With essential equipment provided by,
Shay Murtagh Pre-cast
Ken Fitzsimons Landscaping
Paul Scally RKC ltd
Cunneen Construction.
lnstalled on site:
- 2 x 9000L tanks
- 8 x 20ton loads of stone
- 80m of Wavin 4” piping
- 250m of percolation piping
- 130m3 of soil removed.
This critical development will facilitate the Hurling and Camogie Clubs to fully host games , competitions, as well as clubhouse functions in the future, in an environmentally secure and safe way.
We could not have achieved this without the direct support of the equipment providers listed above, all of the volunteers who gave up a few hours to several days, our local suppliers (Shay Murtagh Pre-cast and Smyth's Home value Hardware) and part-funding from the Westmeath Community Enhancement Programme 2020
